Iker Marcaide founded & runs Zubi Labs from Valencia, Spain, where he focuses on co-founding companies that make the world better, on themes such as education, sustainability, developing countries, health and populations at risk of exclusion.
For example, he co-founded Imagine Montessori School, an innovate school for children in Valencia focused on personalized education.

In 2009 Iker founded peerTransfer and served as the CEO until Dec 2013. peerTransfer is the leading global provider of international payments in the education industry, helping international students and their universities save time and money when making or receiving payments. The Company is profitable, and has raised over $43M from leading investors. 

Prior to founding peerTransfer, Iker was a strategic consultant at The Boston Consulting Group in Madrid & London. Iker, born in Boston and grown up in Europe, holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, a Master in Operations Management and an MBA from the Massachussets Institute of Technology (MIT).
